Meet my latest book, The Watercolor Feast! More than anything, this book is about making time for creativity through watercolor painting…even if you’ve never painted before.

I do all the illustrations in my Forest Feast cookbooks and in this book, I teach you how to do it, too. If you can set aside just 30 minutes, together we will paint beautiful fruits, vegetables and edible flowers.

With easy step-by-step visual instructions, I teach you my intuitive approach to watercolor, without confusing technical terms.

While this book is not a cookbook, I do include a recipe idea with each tutorial so you can eat the produce after you paint it.

I visited local farms and gardens in California to gather all the beautiful produce featured in this book.

It’s important to find ways to be creative in our lives and that can mean many things – but watercolor is an easy, approachable way to do it.

The simple act of moving color around on paper is quite calming and meditative. Sometimes painting a “thing” can feel intimidating which is why I’ve included simple abstract color exercises for each tutorial. With these prompts, you can just doodle and let your mind relax.

A 30-minute watercolor session can be done alone, with kids, with friends or with family. In the book I also offer ideas for hosting a watercolor gathering.

In my own home and business, I also love printing my watercolor designs on fabric. I include some DIY ideas in the book to inspire you to do the same.

Thank you for enjoying, learning from and sharing my new book, The Watercolor Feast!
