Tru2Earth Farm in Gilroy, CA

Join Erin Gleeson of The Forest Feast and Miquela Raiche of Great Honour Goods for a morning at the flower farm! We will pick and paint flowers together at Tru2Earth Farm in Gilroy, CA. This event benefits Unravel, a non-profit that works to raise awareness about childhood cancer, and to help fund pediatric cancer research.

This is an open community event and all are welcome, including kids! No tickets are necessary but to secure a spot to paint, we are requesting you make a donation (any amount you are comfortable with) to Unravel Pediatric Cancer via this link, an organization near and dear to our hearts. On the donate page, be sure to enter your email so we can keep you updated about event details.

There will also be items to purchase at the event, if you wish. You can pick bouquets at the farm for $10 each (cash preferred), and additional artwork by Erin and Miquela will be for sale. If you’d like to bring copies of Erin’s Forest Feast cookbooks (order here in advance), she will sign them!

EVENT DETAILS:

Sunday, September 10, 2023, 11am-1pm

  • 11am-12am: Upick will be open at the farm and bouquets are $10 each (cash preferred). Berry picking is also an option!

  • 12pm-1pm: We will gather for a watercolor demo led by Erin on painting the flowers that we have picked. We will bring a few supplies to share, but if you’re able, please bring your own painting supplies. (See notes below.)

Location: Tru2Earth Farm / 10505 Santa Teresa Blvd. Gilroy, CA 95020

What to Bring:

  • Painting Supplies: please bring watercolors, paper and brushes if you have them. If you want to pick some up before the gathering, here is some recommended paper (postcard size is fun), a simple paint set, a nicer paint set, and some suggested brushes.

  • Sunscreen, hats and water—there’s not a lot of shade at the farm and may be hot!

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • Cash to buy flowers ($10/bunch)

  • Snacks: Feel free to bring snacks or a picnic since we’ll be ending around lunchtime! A few sweets made with ingredients from the farm made by local baker Mariana will be also be served.

See you at the farm!
